Root Canals

What is Root Canal Therapy?

Root canal treatment is also known as endodontic treatment. It is the process of removing infected, injured, or dead pulp from your tooth. The space inside the hard layers of each tooth is called the root canal system. With a root canal procedure, your teeth can be saved and need not be removed.

What are the signs of infection?

  • Tooth Pain
  • Swelling
  • Tenderness
  • Sensitivity to Hot or Cold Items
  • Bad Taste

Steps involved in a root canal treatment

An opening is created through the crown of the tooth into the dental pulp chamber; the infected pulp is then removed.

The canal is cleaned out and the pulp chamber is permanently filled.

The dentist will proceed by putting in a temporary filling. After which, the temporary filling will be replaced with a permanent filling.

At Castleton General and Implant Dentistry, you can expect only state-of-the-art amenities! We accept all the local insurances.
